A serious, structured showcase website for a family-run joinery in Toulouse. Dark background, warm wood tones, a work grid — craftsmanship that shows itself.

Le problème

A 50-year-old joinery worked exclusively through referrals and printed directories. Prospects had no way to browse their work or request a quote outside of business hours.

The brief

Menuiserie Loubière is a family business founded in 1972 in Toulouse — three generations in the same workshop. In 2026 the eldest son, gradually taking over, wants to build a first web presence. Not to sell online. Just to show the level of finish to prospects who have already heard of them, and to take quote requests outside workshop hours.

What we built

A single-page site in four blocks: a dark hero with DM Sans bold heading and two CTAs (quote / work gallery); a 3×2 work grid (six projects: helical staircase, walk-in wardrobe, oak kitchen, wall-to-wall bookcase, walnut door, Hungarian-point parquet); a three-column expertise section (solid wood, custom made, 10-year guarantee); and a quote form with project-type selection.

The dark background (#2C2C2C) appears in the hero and expertise section, not throughout. The rest of the page is off-white. The contrast gives the layout rhythm without making it feel like a "dark site."

What guided our choices

We chose DM Sans over a serif because the craft here is in the woodwork, not the typography. DM Sans is modern and legible, and its weight in headings reads as solid. Something like Fraunces or Playfair would have pushed it toward lifestyle territory, which is not where a technical joinery wants to be.

The wood accent (#C4924A) marks the column borders in the expertise section, the price labels on hover in the work grid, and the line under the logo. It does not need to be explained — the colour does the association for you.

The project-type selector in the quote form is there because a parquet job and a helical staircase are very different things to quote. Without that field, every incoming request requires a follow-up question before anything useful can happen.

Deliverables

Next.js source files, Vercel deployment + custom domain, extensible work gallery (add real photos without touching the code), connected quote form with project summary email, HomeAndConstructionBusiness JSON-LD tags, maintenance guide. Turnaround: 4 working days.
