A law firm founded in 1998 operated entirely on referrals, with no website. Prospects researching the firm online found nothing, or only an incomplete Google listing.

Structured single-page showcase: understated hero with a positioning statement, 4 practice areas, team presentation, a transparent fees section, and a contact form.

Design delivered in 2 days. The midnight blue / gold palette establishes credibility from the first screen. Differentiated contact form by enquiry type to qualify incoming leads.

The fictional brief

Pierre Vasseur has worked by referral since 1998 — never needed anything else. Then in 2026, his partners started noticing a pattern: prospective clients would confirm interest, go away to look the firm up online, and disappear. Nothing to find, or just an incomplete Google listing. The ask was simple: a clean site that shows the firm is real and makes it easy to get in touch.

What we built

Five blocks. A hero on midnight blue with the tagline "Defending you with method." Practice areas: four cards — corporate law, employment law, property law, litigation. The team: two lawyers with initials, title, short biography. Fees: plain information on billing methods. Contact: a static form.

The dark hero against the ivory body gives the scroll a clear rhythm. Each section reads as distinct without needing a header image or separator graphic.

What drove our decisions

Playfair Display is a press typeface. It reads as considered, permanent — the kind of type that goes on a masthead or a legal document. Paired with midnight blue (#1E2D4E), the first screen sets a tone that a generic sans-serif would never pull off in two seconds.

The fees section was a deliberate call. Most law firms stay vague about billing — hourly rates, lump sums, it's complicated. Putting the information on the page filters out the wrong enquiries and gives the right ones a reason to get in touch. Transparency is useful when it's true.

No team photos: the lawyers didn't have professional portraits. Rather than using a generic headshot or leaving it blank, we built monogram tiles — initials and title. Clean, consistent, easy to replace when real portraits exist.

Delivery

A real client would have received: Next.js source files, Vercel deployment + domain, LegalService and Attorney JSON-LD tags, connected contact form (Resend or Formspree), and an update guide for practice area text and biographies. Estimated timeline: 4 working days.
